Jakarta & Poor Drainage

Jakarta is the Heart beat of Indonesia the economic and seat of power of a country of over 260Million People.

Look at what a day rain has caused the entire capital , as the Government has neglected the decaying infrastructure and focused more on illusional elephant project like the Monorail.

  1. Typical of middle class society who keeps complaining without participating or supporting government program, which actually bring Jakarta to be a better place. Do you know what Tommy Winata, one of Indonesian tycoon, said Jakarta is the new Manhattan. So if you want to enjoy the new Manhattan of Southeast Asia, you should support the government program. Why don’t you just move from Kelapa Gading to a more sophisticated area such as Kuningan šŸ˜‰

    • Jakarta the New Manhattan, which part of Jakarta is he talking about, Manhattan is a comprehensive city that is well developed from the east to south, north to west, with a comprehensive infra structural deā€Žvelopment that allows the people to live in any part of the city, with out worrying of flooding or natural disaster, from the JFK at Long Beach to Queens to Brooklyn, and Upper and Lower Manhattan. The Govt policies should be spread around the the boundaries to the centre. And not a designated area that houses the rich while the middle class and lower class are left in abject poverty and blamed for not doing enough to support the Govt, when election comes the politician will still go to the lower and middle class to give out gift and money to vote them in with a lot of empty promises that the are mentally derailed to fulfil.   Why the rich will provide the money for the campaign in exchange for the Govt contract that the will abandon immediately the collect their mobilisation fee. Govt without oversight is corrupt. Sent from my BlackBerry 10 smartphone on the XL network.
